you can also use a large pair of vice grips too. the car needs to be up in the air for those to work though. im gonna do the same thing pretty soon i think. ill phone around for prices on them and see what i can get. if they dont help enough im getting a new leaf.

i have them on my car.. it did bump it up a touch.. Just get a jack and jack up the spring only to give it a gap and slide the white pad under it and release the jack.. then do the other side and your done..i can try to get pics...

ok lets bring this to a close, regarding the white plastic moog pads, does anyone know how to install them on the transverse leaf spring? i think im gonna go with that.

i put new struts in and my car sits about 1" higher than it used to in the ass end. no before after pics though. generally if you bought the car used from someone, its probably a good idea to replace the struts. mine were SHOT and as for the pads, well the thicker spacers you put in there, the higher its going to be, same thing with the curve of the spring.

we have a place in town that does leaf springs for trailers. as soon as i get around to getting an example spring out of the JY theyre going to make me something out of metal...
its not gonna cost me tooooo much either.

i would do both, but i would NEVER cut coils... anyone that does is asking for more trouble than good.

ok i've heard several options to fix a saggin' transverse spring but which one is the best? Does anyone have any pics of a fix up of either of the mentioned solutions to show? Let me know.

The Moog helper springs help W bodies out really well, from what I've heard.

ok lets try this, those white blocks by moog that you put on the ends of the transverse spring, have anyone tried that option yet and if so, do they work well?

Do NOT cut coil springs!!

Very dangerous to begin with and ...well that is just GHETTO!

Replace the insolators, or swap out the spring. Heck do both!

I have a FE3 rear spring from my 95 GTP. And I can remove the spring from my Z34 parts car if u wanted one. I believe the Z34 spring is FE3 as well. Just change the spring and it will raise the car back up and give it a better ride. Or just cut a coil and a half off the front to level it out.

isolator pad sounds like a pretty good technical term for it.

ok i saw on the website a transverse isolator pad. do you know how they are installed and exactly how do they push up the height of the rear?
