Steering Wheel

I got a 1993 Grand Prix and I was replacing the turn signal/ cruise lever because it snapped off .. I got the steering wheel off easy, but when putting it back on, how much do i torque the nut down ? Several full turns ?

Im going on a long trip and dont want some crazy shit to happen!
