I beleive popping the ball joint and getting the knuckle off the control arm and the center nut @ the hub will undo the axle.Once you slip the axle out of the hub, you need to use a prybar on the inside cvjoint of each axle. Some times they are a bit stiff but just reef the hell outta it and it'll pop out then some trani fluid will pour onto your fore-head
I\'d rather push a CHEVY than drive a Ford!

If u look in the section for alt replacement it goes through the steps to remove the right axle. I would assume the left axle would almost be the same. I highly recommend useing 2 prybars though. The shafts seem to pop out eaiser when you pry on opposite sides.

sometimes you can pop them easily with 1 pry bar, sometimes 2 even works. what i like to do is get behind the inner axle (basicly from under the tranny pan) with a prybar and hammer the axle outwards. the shock from the hammer will pop the clip and it will come out.

another way is to pry on it and hit the axle with a hammer. prying itself doesnt always do it, you need that shock to pop the clip loose.
