question, how advisable/inadvisable would it be to install H&R lowering springs with stock shocks/struts rather than going with new kyb's. the car is a 99 grand am v6 with 65k miles. any/all input appreciated.

I wouldn't advise it. The struts have some decent wear on them as it is. Go the distance and get the new struts.Health is merely the slowest rate at which one can die.
