    t460E won't downshift to 1st

I have 1992 z34. The tranny will seem to drop to 1st when the engine is cold or warm. After running it a ways getting it hot it will not drop to 1st at takeoff. If you pull the shifter to 1st at a stop, after it's hot, take off it's in second, at maybe 3000 rpm it will drop all of a sudden and hold 1st till you move the shifter. I don't understand what going on. The modulator valve is getting about 15 in of vaccum, and it's brand new. I also changed filter and fluid. Is it a pcm problem or tranny problem, electrical problem? I hope someone can help! Other than this tranny shifts great in all other gears.

sounds like a soleniod problem... If you put in manual 1 it should stay there till you upshift to manual 2. if that happening then the valvebody and everythingteng else is fine. I';d say the soleniods are in error
