I pulled a transmission out of a 94 lumina euro 3.1l and put it into a 92 lumina z34 3.4l both transmissions say 4T60-E and the one out of the 3.1 worked perfectly now that it is in the z34 it will not shift out of first gear Ive replaced the vacuum modulator and replaced the F-valve and have run out of ideas to try any clues on why it will not shift out of first gear?

Most likely due to a different PN-switch, or different wiring of the solenoids. Don't have diagrams for a 92, but it might be similar to one of the 93s shown below.
