tuning is not an issue for me...
OBD1(DF) is FTW.
1996 4T60-E HD info?

The 4t60e-HD was used in all L67 cars (91-95 Series 1, 96 Series 2) for GM. The 96 obviously was the only Series 2. If you needed a computer to control both, that might be an option, but it limits you on the tuning ability. I think only one tuner supports the 96.

did the 95 Rivs get the HD as well? assuming it's a supercharged motor anyway...

Not sure, but there is a 96 SSEi and a 95 Riviera here in the junkyard. Unfortunately, they'll be ccrushed within a week.

Nothing electronically changed... Just hard parts. Strong diff, but what else?

must have been thinking of something else...
i see no reason (electronically) why anyone with any 4t60e couldn't run one...
axles on the other hand...

Nevermind... Im retarded and didnt read it all the way..
FDR, Hard Parts Stronger, Diff (stronger?), Clutch packs, TQ converter... thoes would be my guess.. thats about every thing i can think of that would be different (based upon what i have heard on the 4T65-E LD and HD)Last edited by RedZMonte; 11-11-2009, 07:44 PM.

1996 4T60-E HD info?
Anyone have any info on the 1996 4T60-E HD that was in the C/H/G Bodies with the L67 ???
I've heard it has a better diff, but what else?
All these '96 cars had an L67 and the 4T60E-HD:
C body = Buick Park Avenue Ultra
G body = Buick Riviera (Optional) (This trans had a 6 bolt structural cover, fits L bodies!
)
H body = Olds 88 LSS
H body = Pontiac Bonneville SSEI (optional on SSE)
All had a fine pitch 3.29 diff, 37/33 sprocket, 2.93 FDR, 30 tooth VSS ring, and 1897 RPM stall converter.Last edited by IsaacHayes; 11-11-2009, 07:08 PM.Tags: None
