    Trans for RWD DOHC

What rear wheel drive manual transmission would be a direct bolt up to a DOHC? Don't ask why, I may be a little insane

i would bet that none would directly bolt up. i would do a T56 (f-body/corvette 6 sp.) but youll have to have a special bellhousing for it to bolt up. you are insane but thats something i would love to do to a triple white cutlass (small block though instead of dohc)

Any Camaro or S-10 tranny would bolt up, but the block would have to be drilled on the other side for the starter. There is at least 1 bellhousing out there that has starter pockets on both sides. Do a search for RWD/FWD/bellhousing and you will find all of your answers...

Would that camaro tranny have to be a 60V6?

yes. the 660 motors use a small gm bolt pattern, so you need to use a rwd tranny from a 660 aplication.

are you looking for a standard or auto??? your best bet is to find a camaro or a blazer and take everything you need.
