4T60E. sonnax sure cure kit or transgo shift kit? or both?

I am rebuilding my 4t60e and came across these two kits.

I was wondering if the sonnax kit is similar to a shift kit, it says it eliminates soft shifts and fixes some other problems.

The transgo kit says it eliminated soft shifts.

I don't think I can use these two kits in conjunction with one an other. Has anyone used these or have any suggestions? Thanks.

the shop i work at uses both sonnax and transgo parts. uaualy we tend to use the transgo kits when we are doing performance transmissions, and the sonnax when we are doing a transmission for a work vehicle (eg: taxi).

Sharkey, the sonnax will fix problems and make the trans last longer, and the transgo will firm up shifts but not fix problems such as the tc falling out of lock up? Do you need any special tools to install the sonnax? Thanks.

ive never used a junior kit. the junior kit doesnt do as much as the superior or comp kit, but they dont make a superior or comp kit for the 4t60e, but i have used transgo kits in both my th700r4(4L60)'s and they're really good. we usually only use transgo so ive had no experience with the other kit. whatever you do, dont use the b&m crap.

Both kits are going to fix some problems..

The sonex kit you need to buy 2 tools seperately if you look at closely..

The transco comes with lock up valves (commen thing to wear out causing lock up sudder) but I believe they are over sized valves.. If they are you'll need the proper size reamer for it..

both kits are going to work good and do pretty much the same things.. Transco is cheaper.. Usualy if something goes wrong sonex has a little more suport... If you want look into a Mr Shift kit as well.. they make some good stuff..
