ok i have a engine and trans out of a 1999 Pontiac Montana 3400 and i 4t60E i think??? Will that motor be a dircet swap with a grand am that has a blown 3.4 in it allready. and if not what else willl it fit, the reason is i can get at newer grand am gt for like 200 bucks with a blown motor....... what all will theis motor fit in??

What year grand am? If its' 3100/3400 yes it will work, but depending on the year you may have to do some swapping of parts. Let us know what year grand am and we can tell you specifics.sigpic

i dont know for sure i think its like a 01 02.. but i dont know . im prolley just gonna try and gt rid of this motor and trans. ive drove this van after i put the ac compressor on it right befor her mom rolled it it had some get up for a van with 170,000 on the clock.1997 Chevrolet Camaro 30th Anniversary 5Speed.

actually they use the 4t65 if GM is correct, unless they changed from 99 to 01 on the transmissions.
and on the transmission, it WILL NOT fit without modifications, but then engine will fit no probComment
