Just puchased a 3.1 for an engine swap. It has alum heads, vlv covers and intake. Is there any way of tracing the S/N to identify year of eng and model car it was installed in?
I am no expert but I know some of these motors have a manufacture date printed on the heads between number 3 and 6 sparkplugs. If it still has motor mounts on it that may give you a clue to the type of car it was in.
