want to put a 3.1 in a 2.5 fiero-help!

i recently got an 86 2.5l automatic fiero with a crappy running motor & im looking to put the 3.1 out of an early 90's lumina in it. if i were to get the 5 speed transmission from a v6 fiero, as well as the motor mounts & tranny mounts from the v6 fiero, would the motor go in well or would this be a pain, and what all else would i need? (i have a friend with a wrecked 91 3.1 lumina so i have everything i need in that respect). thanks!!!

oh and if i have to use an automatic v6 fiero trans i will-but id really rather not

The mounts will line up and it will be a drop in if you use the fiero timing cover and accessories. If you use the 3.1l intake and heads you will need to change to the 7730 ecm to run DIS. You can also switch the to stock iron fiero heads and intake and run a distributor if you want but im not sure if the compression ratio is off if you do that or not.
