Gen III intake on Gen II?

Since my search "failed" I have to ask - will the Gen III intakes bolt up to Gen II heads?

    Cheers

    Nope.

    *edit..

Technically they will bolt up, however the ports are alot different shaped so you'll never get a seal.

96, you should have been able to put the 99 intake on the 96 heads. Unless you mean on an old 3.1mpfi gen2 you had once...

          I have 97 3400 lower on my 94 heads.. with a 2005 3500 upper ...

Ok,issac, now you got me thinking.my ciera is a 96 model, but my 3100 has the small port heads w/ stamped rockers originaly(roller tips now). The 1999 manifold that i got from the junk yard is large port w/early style egr.i have been told this manifold is rare for 99's because they technically didn't go large port until 2000.i held on to this setup, still got it in the basement.so i guess what i am saying is my 3100,even though a 1996, is like a 1994 motor,i think the ciera's only had this, plus my upper intake is specialy made for my one piece throttle body/mass air,56mm stock.

Ah, yeah the A body 3100 setup... heh.

You could swap to the big port stuff, but the TB/MAF thing has to go.

You'd have to grab a MAF from a 96 car other than A body, and TB as well. Then the TB cable and bracket that is from a car close to what your size/shape is and hook that up to get around the weird one piece TB/MAF

But you should be able to convert to that setup with the right parts.

At least you won't have to worry about the A-body anomoly anymore Good luck with your new ride.
