It's been 900 miles since the topside 3400 parts to a 3100 upgrade and i've got a small oil leak at the rear, backside valve cover with also a little oil at the rear head, backside, head gasket area. What'a ya all think.......Tom

Did you put a dab of RTV in the "V" notch where the valve cover, LIM and cylinder head meet?

Just a little dab will do ya. Yeah, I've been stung by this leak before. Also, make sure to replace the breather/pcv grommets with Delco parts to help seal things up.

Are those grommets available thru GM dealer? I would not have thought that they would still be available. Anywhere else they sell them?.......TomComment

The last time I got some, it was about a year ago, they were still available. Hopefully your local parts guy knows his stuff and doesn't argue with you about needing your VIN to look shit up. That crap aggravates me so much!
