3.4 valvcovers

I have looked high and low, but for the life of me , i can not find any valvecovers that appeal to me-tastefully.

They must have the baffles incorporated, and tall enough to clear the crate motor 3.4 cam (lift).

I am already aware of the Fiero covers, and edelbrock (both elite and chrome).

Other than the ones you have already mentioned, there are no other options that I'm aware, short of making your own.

I think they look the best they are made of aluminum and they have a reusable gasket. Oh and stock covers will clear more lift that the fiero covers. But you will not have any problems with the lift of the crate cam.

The only thing I do not like about the fiero covers is the oil fill hole and blockoff on the corresponding cover.
I prefer clean undisrupted lines.
As far as oil fill--you can just pop off the pcv elbows (I intend to use moroso's "Evac system")..I could perhaps purchase 2 passenger side covers and deal with the block offs in some way.

Incidentally, it appears that edelbrock does not offer an Elite cover for the 3.4--?

Why not have the stock ones blasted and color chromed? Not that expensive.

I thought about that, and it is one of 2 options (other being the Fiero).
I would still have to purchase another passenger side cover of course, but still better than having a venders name embossed (edelbrock).. and they incorporate the baffles within the valve covers.

I have a vast collection of stock valve covers. I would be glad to unload them. I have 2 sets from s-10s and 1 set from a Camaro.

I have no idea what the original Camaro and S10 vlave covers look like..I will get around to doing a search for some images.

They are aluminum. You get them polished.

Polishing aluminum under your hood is not easy. Hard to maintain. I'd rather have color chrome, or powdercoat. I like colors. (Powdercoat is cheap)

Polish it and then put on a protectant the same as they ahve for wheels or clear coat it.

Clear coat is cheep.
