    2.8 alu head replacement

    hey there, quick question
will aluminum heads from a 1988 2.8 corsica fit up to a 3.1 from a 1992 lumina van? and will the intake from the throttle body lumina cause any clearance issues with the MPFI corsy heads?
    thanx

No. The Lumina van used Iron heads and TBI. None of the aluminum heads even come close to fitting the TBI intake. Also the pistons in a RWD block would increase the compression beyond 11:1 and you would need careful tuning and premium gas in order to keep them.

so the only possibility would be a mpfi conversion then?

Yes. But if your taking that project on just forget it and get a 3X00 top end and use that. More power for nearly the same price since 3400's are a dime a dozen in the junkyard now.

what about the crank from a 3.1 corsy in the 3.1 lumina van?

Top End - Everything above block?

Fat chance 3.8 motor iron heads work on 2.8/3.1 motors?
