i recently finished my 2nd 3.1 motor swap (oil pump failure in the 1st) in my 89 Z24 cavalier. after chasing wires and finally getting ALL the wires connected, i got it started, ran a little rough (kinda f*cked up #2 plug wire) but it ran. the next morning i started it (started rough) and parked it across the street. after work i went to pull it back into my driveway and it would not start. it just keeps cranking over. i think i no longer have a spark and i dont know why. any ideas?
rebuilt engine wont start

Was your re-built motor done from scratch... or is this an R&R job? If the former case... did you pre-oil the engine before starting it up? If the latter... was the replacement engine running b4 the swap?

Well do the obvious. Check for spark and fuel. Can you hear the pump prime when you turn the key on?
And it sounds like you may have some plug wires mixed up.
