Egr delete? 1983 Pontiac 2.8 V6

Hi!
I had a bad egr on my 1983 2.8 V6 pontiac, so i made a aluminum gasket to block the egr valve, but i wonder if there is anything else to do to finish the deleting. Maybe another thing to block? After the procedure the PCV tube that goes to the filter is releasing some smelly smoke.

On a car that old there is no issue with deleting the EGR other than no passing an emissions inspection. The PCV system has no relevance to the EGR. If anything the PCV valve might be clogged.
