    timing an '84 2.8

I want to time my '84 2.8 auto/carb'd with computer. Which wire (if any) do I have to disconnect to do this? I looked in the pax footwell area like a TBI setup, but no wire. Can I just pull the distr. connection? This thing runs just fine with both comp plugs pulled, so I guess that would do it too?

The wire for your car may be in the engine compartment by the heater box.

The best thing to do if find a wiring diagram. It will show you the location of the connection.

If it's inside the cab, it will look like this:

"The ESC Electronic Spark Timing "tan wire with a black stripe" that everyone can't find when attempting to set their timing (s-series). Wire is under the carpet on the passenger side below the heater box. It is disconnected to set the timing, then reconnected."

Thats a good picture, is it on a carb'd vehicle? I have found it on a TBI 2.8 before, but this carb'd one seems to have it either hidden, or maybe somewhere else.
