HELP! Grand Am GT 3400 Coolant Drain Plug Location

Hi, I feel like a bonehead, but I have half the coolant in my car sitting in a bucket due to draining the radiator and can't find the drain plugs on the engine block. Are they on the top or bottom? And whereabouts? The Haynes manual only shows a picture of a 4 cyl.

    Thanks

Lower sides of the block. They are just a small NPT plug

On the front of the engine the plug should be very close the oil filter, just above the oil pan rail. On the rear side of the engine it should more or less be in the same area as it was on the other side, but a lot harder to see and get to because of the transmission (if automatic).
