    On the top of the MEMCAL, there is a four letter code. The two (old and new) need to have the same code for it to work perfectly with your car. As far as the fan goes, have you ever thought of checking the fan relay? If the relay went back, the ECM could still be trying to turn the fan on, but the fan would have no way of getting power.

      I know I said this before, (and I know you don't want to hear it) but bad gas mileage and stumble/surge on acceleration still sounds like a shorted injector to me. have you checked them?

        No haven't . How do I check injectors again? The car ran perfect all last night no more duble footin' it no stalls or power loss it just hesitates off the line and the surging at WOT is gone now she just flys. I can now spin the tires where before I could not.
