    Need some help

I have 89 Pontiac 6000 2.8 multport that I drive daily for work. The fuel pump has gone out and need to know if it is possiable to ut a inline fuel pump on, instead of dropping the tank and replacing the org. The car has 200,000 and I just want to get a couple more months of use from it.

Well yes it is possible but recommended it is not. Its not hard to drop the tank. 2 lines a filler neck and 2 metal bands that hold it in place. Once it is out the pump is easy.

Usually not. The problem is usually people using regular open end wrenches and rounding off the fitting

Buy line wrenches. Use lotsa penetrating lube.
