    3400 plenum with vertical EGR?

I read through the 3400swap.com guide and he mentions that there is only a certain year/model range that came with the vertical mount EGR valve on the 3400 plenum. I think he said 97 Lumina vans or something. Can anyone confirm and/or provide more information? I have a 95 olds with the digital EGR and I will need the vertical mount for my 3400 head/intake swap. Before I go off and buy a random 3400 upper intake (already have heads and lower), I'd like to make sure I'm getting the right one.

    Thanks in Advance.

There is not a 3400 UIM that will work for a direct bolt on for your EGR. ALL 3400s used a linear EGR, with two different style mounts, niether are even close to what the digital needs.

However, if you get a 2000+ UIM, you can use an EGR adaptor from a genII 3.1 and with slight modifications, will just about bolt on.

I was under the impression that the digital EGR will not fit on the side mount, only the vertical mount, is that correct? Ben has an adapter in the store for the digital EGR to mount on the 3400 UIM I think as a straight bolt on.

        the adapter in the store fits 96-99 UIM's. 3400 and S.P. 3100

but to fit the digital EGR on a 2000+ UIM all you have to do is take the stock EGR adapter and elongate one of the bolt holes IIRC. i'll see if i can find the link to it.....

here's the link to it on V6Z24.com

With very minimal modifications the EGR bolts to the 3400 plenum with absolutely no adapter: First I bought the new gasket for the 3400, and quickly noticed the distance from the bolt to the hole on center is exactly the same as the thicker side of the 91 EGR plate. Then I realized that there...
