    Power steering deleat

I was wondering if anyone could answer the following question
i have a leak in my power steering and have lost most of the fluid
    the question is
is there a load being put on the engine if the ps pump doesnt have any fluid to pump and if i can just deleat the pully replacing it with a dummy pully
or possibly get a manual steering rack or remote electric ps pump
    I Like V660s

Why not just... replace your PS pump?

    Doesn't cost too much.

what car??? if its anything other than a j-body or a beretta, i wouldnt recomend getting rid of the power steering. ive driven a manual steering j-body with the proper manual rack, and its a pain to park, i could only imagine something like a w-body with manual steering
