Harness & computer choices for 3.4/700r4?

What computer/harness set-up would be more user friendly for a drivetrain swap?

I don't have a computer or complete harness for my Camaro 3.4 .....And if I did, I still have concerns about the "resistor in the key thing".

Is there anything else out there that can be adapted to run my 3.4/700r4 combo? I would like to keep the 3.4 intake, but am not THAT attached to it if it is going to make things REALLY hard. Oh, yeah,....cheaper the better.

An ECM from a 3.1L car would work. Get one that came off a manual or a mechanically controlled automatic.
