a neat page I found regarding the 2.8...

Does anyone here have any objections to what the author states?

I thought that upgrading the throttle body would do no good as the plenum would restrict airflow then. Who knows :\

So will a larger throttle body help or not help performance without doing anything else? I'm just wondering because it _sounds_ like the easiest/best bolt-on right now that's cheap and doesn't require pulling the engine.

It will help a TBI equipped gen1 motor, yes.

I don't think it makes too much difference, even if anything is available.

I know, you're probably about to say "do a top end swap"

I really would like to, but it can't be done one part at a time, can it? If that could happen, then surely I'd be more than happy to, but if it all has to be done at once, then...

it will help some, but the more you to get more air through the engine, the more HP you'll get from the TB.
