Using the 7057 Bosch LSU Sensor, just 28.99 from 1stvw parts. Recently found to exceed the once thought superior NTK. Tech edge doesnt even recommend the NTK anymore because the LSU is Just as accurate but only 30 bucks.

thanks for the advice. i'll look into the Tech Edge a bit more. i think i remember seeing an Ad or even a write up on it in one of my australia car mags i brought home.. have too dig through them.

been looking at the Holley unit. (its dead at work right now)
seems pretty cool and simple to use.
doesnt actually say it but it sounds like it should work for DIS Ignition systems:

so the regular commander 950 software is just setup to run regular "narrow band" A/F ratios, the PRO upgrade is where you can run it and tune it with with the advantage of the wideband setup?

Looks promising. im looking for something around the 800-1000 range as i just know nothing of tuning with GM code to tune my own chips.

Yeah you can plug it right into your exsisting harness and do a repin. It'll do the DIS Setup. Holleys website has alot of info. Yeah the new units however when they come out will all be PRO but its up to you if you want to buy a holley wb set up or buy any other aftermarket wb, Holley made sure you can run the New pro with any wideband unit you want , the a/f - volt table is programable, but it still can be run on narrow band if you cant afford wideband right away.


Yeah I actually bought my two commanders off ebay one for 265 had the seller close early the other for $367 I got the full 670 cfm commander tbi kit retails for $1299 from jegs. Then they upgraded me to the PRO for free! Only cause Im special. Basically by being smart I saved over one thousand dollors just on that.

I dont like that set up. No LED gauge. The tech edge unit comes with a neat LED display shows both the number and a bar meter and it auto dims at night. Very easy to see. Something the Innovate and dynojet models lack. http://614streets.com/wideband.jpg (old pic)

yeah when i was looking at the pic of the commander the plugs on the unit looked exactly like GM style ecm plugs... was thinking this might be possible, thats wicked sweet! even better. just repin the connector and go!

brad dont know if youve ever seen them before but honestly one of the best wideband controlers out there on the market is the FJO unit.

very good product. and locally based (winnipeg)
they used to do military products (possibly still do?) and branched off into the automotive engine managment and fuel air control areas. very good products. have never heard anything bad.

The tech edge datalogs, it can datalog anything, not just a/f.
The FJO is good. $$$
The PLX is good looking, but the Tech edge display walks away from that display hands down , but the PLX price is good.
