and they're only $65 shipped for a magnaflow cat

no engines need backpressure, its a myth, its all about flow vs. velocity, same idea with porting heads, the idea is to have no backpressure at all but a balance between flow and velocity for what your trying to achieve

      ahhh i see.
yeah, my car hasnt been checked for emissions since it left the showroom floor. the noise could be a problem, small town cops like to give tickets for noise. i do need to get rid of the stock cat though. maybe use a high flow, maybe a resonator in place...maybe have a friend quote me on an entire mandrel bent exhaust...

What I want to know is how you got a 2.8 60ft!!!!

For a car do get that you need to be able to burn out like crazy.
You should be able to get a 2.3 60ft and your times should be low to mid 17 sec in the 1/4.

Empty your trunk also. Im guessing your trunk is loaded with heavy stuff

nothing in my trunk....not a huge burnout, just enough to see some smoke...or do you mean burnout off the line? because my tires slipped like none off the line
