I have heard of people talking about doing the 3400 top end swap. My question is, what car is best to swap from? Are there all 3400 heads the same,or do some flow better than others. Could i still use my tbi, and tune the pcm ? Lastly, what cam works best with this set up. Thanks, Justin

You might want to swap in a 3.4L Camaro engine and put your intake and TB on it. The 3400 heads won't work with your intake. a 3400 top end swap on a Sonnoma is not a easy mod.

Thanks for the reply. Would it be worth doing the swap to the 3.4 ? How would you rate the power increase of the 3.4 over the 2.8 ? Also, would i have to retune my pcm?

The 3.4 with the iron heads is good for 160HP. Its quite a common swap for the 2.8s since it bolts in. All of your 2.8 swap stuff just swaps over.
