Yeah another block would be better. But what I have thought about is that Summit offers a GMPP all Al 60degree block, but for $3800! Cha-ching! Maybe worth for weight and if for high hp, but it's not even a 3400 block, it's the 3.504" bore. But it says can be bored .078" over (still not quite the 3400 bore).
