Trans is easy though, look at the L67 4T65E-HD or whatever it is, they can be built to handle some power.

I'm helping a local guy with his 3400/3500 hybrid/turbo build.. I'm guessing it'll be right around 500 @ the crank. That'll be pretty nice in a Beretta.

any concerns about cracking the block? I know the old 3.1 has had issues with that and the 3400sfi was essentially built from those design specs, were the block issues dealt with or were these "fatal flaws" left for us to deal with?

i don't know where you heard this from, but these blocks were built right, it takes a lot of bad luck/parts to get a block to crack, unless you're the dumbass that leaves straight water in the radiator over the winter, then yes you'll have block cracking issues.
