    3.4 Injectors

I'm building a 3.1 out of a '89 Firebird 2.8. I have the pistons, .030 over, and a #981 crank. I'm going to use a 2020 or 2030 Crane cam and do some minor exhaust work. I'm going to install it in a '85 Fiero and use the the Fiero intake manifolds and a high flow TBI.
My question is, will injectors from a 3.4 work OK on this set-up? And what if any, changes need to be made?

    Thanks

"Stage 2 Cam", Iron Heads with stiffer springs, Holley TBI, Manifold bored to fit the TBI Base(4.3 size), Fiero Covers, MSD Coil, DynoMax Muffler and 2.5 Tailpipe, no cat, Auburn Limited Slip, 3.73 final Drive. 700R. '85 Fiero GT 3.4 Hybrid, relieved top intake and exhaust, 57mm TB, Auto. 3.06 final drive.

r u asking if 3400 injectors will fit or if 3.4 dohc injectors will fit. if u mean 3400 then yes as long as there 99- the should fit right in ur 3100 rail. as for 3.4 dohc idk.

The tune on the computer and the injectors have to match. If you can tune for it you could use the 3.4 injectors but they don't seem to be much of an upgrade from the injectors a 2.8 has. You could probably get the same or better from an increase in fuel pressure but again would need to be tuned for it. The stock injectors and stock computer should be able to run it better than a stock computer with a mismatched set of injectors if u aren't able to get it tuned.

So the Fiero 2.8 injectors will work fine in a 2.8 converted to 3.1. Thanks for the replies and information.
