2.8 crank in 3.1

i was just curious as to if the old style 2.8 crank that came in the 87 86 hatch back cavalier's and such will fit into a 3.1 engine im picking up my sunbird and found a engine and 5 speed for 150 that i can get for 75 but it was a older 2.8 so i wanted to find out. Thanks alot

Wrong crank. It will make your 3.1L a 2.8L and you need to use the corresponding pistons too.
