LS1 MAF

Hey,
I was looking at my 3100 MAF and realized that it has the same plug as a LS1 MAF, the LS1 is 20mm larger than the one on the 3100, do you think this would be a good upgrade or will it affect the performance? What about taking the LS1 housing and using my electronics?

There are companies that have larger MAF's for your engine
Granatelli, has had one avilible for a while.

From what I understand the programing is differant between the 3100 and the LS1.
