Both the manual and auto are one piece in the isuzu's. I found that out the hard way when my clutch gernaded. Had to replace the whole tranny, transfer case and all, because that is in the tranny case too.

But since you are doing the swap I would look for an S-10 belhousing and switch the starter over and use an S-10 or the 3.4L Camaro starter. I think that would beat drilling and tapping the block. But whatever floats your boat.1992 Chevrolet S10
