newb plenum accessory identification q's

Alright everyone, time for round 2 of "what sensors are growing out of my plenum" Today we look at a stock 3400 plenum and throttle body.

Could someone please identify the guy in the red circle and the guy in the green circle. Red circle is mounted to the throttle body. Green circle was bolted to something and has like 2 vacuum lines running from it, one dumps into the plenum and run was cut off when I got the contraption.

Red: IAC Valve (Idle Air Control)

Green: Looks to be the Canister purge solenoid (Im not sure on that one)

I was going to guess the same thing on the green one... And red is the IAC.

well, one of the vaccuum lines (aka a hard line actually) is labelled "can" which might back that up. What is a canister purge solenoid and is it one of those things I can disable in chip tuning without negative consequences?

yeah its the canister purge solenoid,

whether or not you can go around it without any negatives effects is beyond me, i would assume it would throw a code without it, but i would ask someone who knows more than i

I haven't had mine connected for... hell, almost 2 years now. No codes here, and no performance loss that I can tell.
