replacement throttle bodies?

Are there any throttle bodys from other cars that would "pretty much" bolt-on to a 3100? Im looking for a larger one like at least 56mm.

I think the 3400 uses a 56m stock.

The TB from 3400 equipped cars will bolt right on. The only modification needed is to swap the linkages with your original TB for the cable. The TB's from 3100's made in 2000 and later are also 56mm.

do you guys think that there would be enough benefit to offset the cost in parts and labor to connect a larger 56mm TB then port out the 3100 upper intake? Or just do a complete upper and lower hybrid swap with 56mm TB? Ive seen talk where a hybrid setup only nets around 5-8rwhp.

Personally, I would go with the better flowing intakes and a 62mm TB and then port and polish everything. That's just me though. The older style intakes can't even be ported to the same size as the new ones.

So if I was to do a full 3400 hybrid swap of the upper and lower IM's, what year models can I use the IM's from with minimal modification? Also what all parts would I need extra?

You could snag the heads from a 2000+ vehicle also to complete the deal.

well thats kinda what Im thinking. I'm planning on doing a hybrid swap, (no heads, just Upper and lower intake manifolds) so provided I can find a donor engine with a TB inatact then that's what I'll do.

But with this thread I was just wondering what all throttle bodies I could bolt right onto a Gen III 3100. Like if the 3400 TB's would fit...?

3100 and 3400 TBs are interchangable.

You mention doing a hybrid swap with just the manifold and plenum... Do you currently have a 3.1L? If so, the ports of the 3x00 manifolds do NOT align with the Gen 2 heads.
