    Valve Angle

Does anybody know off hand what the angle is on Gen 3 3100 heads for the valves and seats.Cause i was having my valves done and thought i might have them change the angle for better flow for performance.Example from 45 degrees to 30 Degrees.

Stock valve seats are already 3-angle setups. The only way to really improve that is either 5-angle or something else which I can't think of the name of right now.

Yeah. 5-angle really isn't worth the extra cost unless you get into looking for every last bit of HP. And there are people who also say that a 5-angle can be bad for these heads... can't remember the reasoning behind it though.

the reasoning ive always heard from guys about 5 angles is that with the 5angle you have more smaller areas of each cut. which over time due to the smaller seat angle/area's the seat wears out quicker than a normal 3 angle would, thus needing to do another valve job again to fix the worn seat angles. ect...
i hope that came out right....

i mean this instead of a seat with this much area between the cuts:
          \
_\ (suposed to be one smooth cut...)

its this short between each cut:
          \
thus less material the valve comes in contact, and over time it wears quicker..

now if thats true?? i cant say for sure.
