    3100 to 3500 inatke ?

i have a 95 beretta with a 3100 in and the inatke gaskets just started to seep so i was going to do a few mod wile i was i there. i have been reading about 3500 intake swaps and was wondering what it would take to put a 3500 in take on my motor, do you need a later modle lower or what. i was also planning on putting the factory roller rockers on it wile i was in there ( my heads have to notches) and other mods you can think of please let me know.
    thanks

Its got to be a pre-03 3x00, otherwise the rocker studs are a different size. And yes, you will need at the minimum a large-port lower manifold. There is a thread on here talking about the difference between a regular large-port 3x00 lower manifold and a 3500 lower manifold.

so i need a 2000+ lower intake, 3500 upper, 4.3 truck thottle body, what eles do i need to do this conversion, and do you think the power increase will be pretty good, engine is rated at 155 hp i would like to see 175 out of it do you think that with this swap i will see that increase.

No, you won't see that much of a gain from it. At MOST, I'd say 8-10hp, but probably more around 5-7hp is what you are looking at adding. Not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure you still need an adapter plate to mount the TB to the plenum. Then you have to look at a new way to mount the coilpacks/ICM because the old mounting bracket won't work with the new plenum. It may come with it, but if not, you'll need the new MAP sensor for the plenum as well. I'm sure there are a few more things that I'm missing....

i don't see why not oy just mite have to get a little ceative. the jimmy and 3x00 cars all use the same basic crusie unit, they just change the cable at the end of it. so you could put a jimmy cable in a grand am or beretta if you needed to.

swap the whole cable around, the end where it goes into the crusie unit comes out by pushing in on the two black tabs. i don't know if you can just swap the ends i think there is a crimp on the end but i will look at it tommor at work

there is a small amount of machining needed to clear the fpr and ofcoarse an adapter for the TB those are the major things to tackle

Might be a little spastic with the bigger TB.

The Cruise is alittle touchy, and I think that has to do mostly with the springs, seems alittle on the stiff side. As far as gaining anything, you'll see alot more bottome end.. the bigger the TB the more response you'll have. better yet you'll have the same operation range of power. IMO this is a really good manifold, it alows gobs of bottom end and still allows for a high range of top end.
