WTF man why do you always ask such dumb questions.

haha im bored & have a question, there are those of you on this board with answers & vehicles that currently run a lot better than mine, right now my car runs like absolute hell & i have to powerbrake it & strain the hell out of it to get it to start rolling the tires, im asking this because i know that there are people on this board with properly running 3.1 auto-birds that would know.

and yes, i -do- need a thread for this.

just about anything running properly will do a burnout.

haha i understand this, im talking will these machines do them well, or are they a dog when it comes to this category? (by the way i had a toyo celica that absolutely would not do one, could barely even get the tires to roll over on pure dirt lol).

A 3.1 F-body is probably one the the best burnout machines out there. I borrowed a friend's car several years ago, and won the burnout contest at the local car show with it. Tons of torque, it just boils the rear tires. It is almost insane how easy it is to get them spinning.

el diablo, im just now getting the money to get this thing running properly & just-now (as in about an hour ago) got a new set of keys so i can pull the thing into the shop to even work on it, so i hope the next time you have a question for the board someone comes along with nasty comments instead of helpful information (just like you did). also racer x11, im not sure as to whether or not you are being serious or being sarcastic (pretty sure im picking up sarcasm on the end of that thread, but i can hope that there is decency in some people) but either way i appreciate your comment.

not nesscarily, 98 and up v6 f-bodies are pretty respectful, pretty quick (w/manual).

finally some honesty! anyone know how hard it would be to swap out the tranny & install a standard trans? (i understand that i would have to put in a clutch pedal, but im assuming that there are kits for that?).

I disagree. I raced several times a 3800 5spd and autos with my L body stock 3100 and pulled on em each time. I'd say they are 17-16.3 1/4 mile stock.
