exhaust size on a 03 malibu

i found a dynomax muffler that has inlet and outlet on the same side like the malibu does, it comes in 2 sizes 2 1/4(i/o) and 2 1/2(i/o), i was going to get one and have it installed to give my car a little growl till i can afford the borla cat back system, i can pick up either muffler from my local napa for $65, anyone now what the stock pipe size on the malibu is? i am at work and can't go out and measure, its 2 14, isnt it? thanks

i believe it's 2". if so, you can easily bump things bigger to fit a 2 1/4 muffler

2.25, you can go to 2.5 without problem to increase flow (same size as borla)
