External Crank Trigger?

I have spent time trying to find a solution but have made no progress. GM made different versions of the RWD dampener and pulley setups. Some use three bolts and others use four bolts to mount the crank pulley. I need measurements for the distance from the face of the block to the rear edge of the belt and from the block to the face of the dampener on various vehicles so I can determine if a universal trigger setup can be made.MinusOne - 3100 - 4T60E

No progress due to limited time and not having any RWD vehicles to work with. I do know someone who recently picked up a Fiero with a 2.8 but schedules haven't permitted me to get measurements. He with be moving close to me in the next few weeks and I will have easy access to it for measuring.Originally posted by rjblaze View PostJust wondered on progress for a RWD-type trigger wheel yet? Would it be possible to machine the face of a RWD damper "flat" and sandwich your trigger wheel between the modified damper and pulley?
My plan is to modify the stock dampener and bolt the trigger wheel to it. A problem is that some dampeners have 4 spokes while others have 3 spokes. The spoked area has the most mass and would be the best place to add bolts. I also need to see if any components from our FWD trigger mount will work with that setup or if a complete new system has to be made.MinusOne - 3100 - 4T60E
