The aluminum pulley's that did exist, had a steel sleeve pressed over the shaft already, and the seal was the same size as stock since the stock pulley is steel to begin with.

so far an aluminum pully with the wear issue:
when i did a timing chain on a 2.2, i got a steel sleeve and larger seal, so i would assume the same could be purchased for the 3400, if its not already the same as the 2.2 anyways.

Speaking from a manufacturers point of view, with the limited 60V6 marketplace, it is hard to justify the investment in design, tooling and inventory of a new product. When you add in the economy being slow and people spending less on their toys, new products will be far between.

Guess John didn't want to reply after all. He got the pulley back so its not gone forever. However, I have no news on a pulley being made and consider this dead.

Last I heard, they were having issues with the 24x ring, just like all the other companies...

It sounds like this project is DEAD... I would at least like my pulley back so I can sell it elsewhere, OR I would like some money for it.
I did not expect to never see it or progress on this again.
Can we still get an update on the underdrive damper pulley please?

Yep, only the RSM and i think early FFP's.

my old FFP had it, never had any leaks.

MRZ has the insert. I spoke with him about this during his design phase and he incorported it. He originally wasn't going to till I spoke up in one of his threads on Bstuff IIRC.

I'm hoping this idea hasn't died. Here is a good read for those of you using aluminum pulleys. http://grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83221

The problem with talking to a company that is half a world away, is the fact that they are half a world away. I send them an email, it takes at least a day before they read it and then maybe longer before they respond. I will try to find something out as soon as possible.
