284 gears and beretta gtz gears??

  • 284 gears and beretta gtz gears??

    are they compatable with each other or will i actualy have to swap in a 282 with the gtz gears in it?

    Not sure on the gears if they are the same or not. I don't think they are, but if they aren't you would have to have your chip edited to fix the speedo, if that is what you are worried about. Ben could help you with that one though.

        No he cant, the GTZ gears don't swap into a 284. I hope that is what this thread is about.

          thanks ben.. that's what i was looking for. so next question. if i was to swap in a 282 after my 284 takes a crap (it's on its way out). and put the gtz gears in that . would it be able to handle the power?

            Probably not in a W body considering the weight it has to work against along with the engine power. Im not sure what kind of upgraded internals you would need but you should be able to make the 282 handle it.

              Ok, I thought he meant about using a 284 in place of a 282 or vice versa. So :P
