Do I need to send you my old chip first to have you reprogram it? Also is there a core charge? It would be nice to have a CA emissions legal chip and one that is a fun race car chip! My email is pbui3057@sbcglobal.net if you could send me what info you need. I might be interested as well. Thanks.

I use adapters, which your stock chip plugs into the side of. This makes it easier to switch chips if you need to, along with not having to remember where you stock chip is later on if you want to send it back to have something changed.

I will check out the california chip differences to see what they have done to pass for california testing.

One more question What would a single glasspack sound like on my car. I know it would be much less restrictive but what kind of exhaust tone would I get

KickinZ had a glasspack setup on his car. It was loud, DAMN loud. The sound was good, it popped under decelleration, but was just so loud. IMO I hated it. We were all driving, like 6 of us, and I couldn't even ehar my car over his. When we raced, I couldn't hear my car either. And my car isn't all that quiet.

So I would not suggest that setup to anyone, becuz the hardache of having to deal with that FAR exceeds the performance benefit.

The reason I ask is because I wanted to have the single glasspack in place of the resnoator with duel tips in the back and then get two new mufflers in a few weeks . I dont think it will bother me to much

With two mufflers after the glasspack you will be fine. Without them you will be annoyed, trust me. I think deep down even kickinz hated it, even though his car was like as track prep ready as it gets.

I guess with that, we have to consider that the absolute best case senerio is that all LQ1 cars are a minimum of 8 years old. Not to mention that GM doesn't exactly have the best accessory reliability.

I can't imagine the gastank likes that, nor the fuel pump.

                        HP

What kind of an increase in hp would I get once I got the pulley, motor mount, chip, and exhaust?

Not more than 20, I'd say around 10-15. The exhaust did nothing noticable for my car, but since my other mods it has probly helped. The chip I liked th emost, and while it probly didn't raise my max hp that much, it widened it. After the chip and CAI, I pull to 6500 and only notice a very slight drop off to 7.

I would definately invest in a CAI, the sound alone is worth it.

Unless it is in the wheel well it is a warm air intake, sorry to brake the news. But your right about the sound , it is very nice, almost like an indy 500 car or something

yah buddy, some bad news. Mine goes into the fenderwell.

                                C-Cold
                                A-Air
                                I-Intake

CAI's go into the fenderwells or get isolated air, letting your motor breathe easier, an d get cool air, which means more horsepower and torque. Mine is for sale, PM me if you'd like.
