OK, this has been posted in several threads and is widely known on the fiero forum, but I DO have a chip for my 3.4 DOHC 94-95 setup in the Fiero.
Some modifications that were done to my chip are:
-Pulses per miles changed for the fiero application
-VATS disabled
-power steering codes erased
-a/c delete
-auto tranny codes erased
-rev limiter raised to 7200 (im not 100% sure on this but the tuner said 7200, and a fiero tach reads only to 6500, and it keeps going past that so who knows where it exactly is?)
-there was some modificationstuning done for power but it is not completely tuned YET.
Right now I need to hook up the VSS wires to the ECM so that we can find out how that effects the chip. The only problem with the chip right now is that after you engine break while you press in the clutch I must blip the throttle to keep it from stalling. The computer is not recognizing that the clutch is being pressed in and since its revs were high at 0% thorottle it just kills. Were hoping that the speedo wires will help to resume back to idle after the clutch is depressed because it will realize that it isnt just "idleing high." If not the other thing that we could do to fix it is to hook up the clutch switch to the ECM so i realizes everytime the clutch is depressed.
I figured that i would share this information so that people will start looking at using the SFI system instead of always converting to the earlier style. The tuner that did this for me is an active member at the Fiero board. His website is www.gmtuners.com and heis very good and innexpensive at what he does.
Thanks!
