How do I put the chip in?

Hey guys.

I have a 1991 GP GTP, and I kust got my chip in from the store a day ago. Well I forgot which way it goes in. i no where it goes, and how it plugs in, but i dont remember what side of the chip goes to what side of the 'holder.' it appears to be the same on both sides, symmetrical. I see the samll pin numbers, 1,2 on one side, and 64, 65 on the other. maybe you guys could tell me what side of the car the 1,2 side of the chip is?

The prom/calpack assembly only fits in one way. There are three notches in the socket, one in the center, and two at the ends on the opposite side of the center notch. The prom/calpack assembly has the three tabs on the plug end that will fit into the notches. I hope that helps ease the confusion.

If you are asking about witch way the chip goes into the prom/calpack assembly, its the notch on the top of the chip goes towards the edge. It can't go on the other side because that is where the calpack is located.

Just make sure the chip on the adapter is straight across from the chip in the stock memcal. Thats all you really need to know. I have the directions on the store as well, though now that I have a printer I can start printing them out.

Yah I looked closer on saw the tabs he was talking about, and was able to figure it out from there.
