diagnostic software OBD I

I just got a cable from ebay to connect my ALDL to my laptop. What software would you suggest to read all of my info? Where can I access this software? Will I be able to adjust with the cable and wire to alter my a/f mixtures and what not?

I got my cable from moates.net. Its 80 bucks but its 2 seperate parts. The aldl connector cable is 30 for OBD1, and the USB to serial is 50 bucks.

Fuel usage...

Anyone ever think about designing a program that simply takes the injector pulse duration and interprets that real time data into how much fuel has been pushed thru the injectors?? (total spent fuel)

I have not worked with freescan or any of the other datalogging software so I am not aware of what is out there. *user thinks outloud* hrm, knowing the flow rate of the injector, and then knowing the pulse width, and then summing the pulses....

Ben, I am wanting to do this for my LB6...this IS possible is it not?

yea, I suggest just buying the stuff. I'm in the process of making it all and all in all its about the same price if you buy the electonics locally, or you can buy the unassembled kit. but whatever floats your boat.
