Been a while since this was updated lol.

Well got the body work on the side skirts done, ready for final sand and paint, then just last week I pulled too close to a curb after lowering the car and broke the valence again

Repaired it (again), got it installed today and the rear valence mocked-up.

    Coil over conversion...

and walk around pics the other day...

Still have the spare head I will be putting on soon as I take time to mail out all these cam cores for re-grinds

Oh and Well, I found the perfect wheels!

    15mm offset all around...

    3/4" spacers on the rear...

Think I will do 15mm offset in the front, zero rear, these rubbed a bit on the rear with 3/4" spacers (19mm) and I haven't corrected the camber, that will make them rub more.

Now I have to either talk my buddy out of these we tested with (and get narrower spacers), or buy them for myself

    More pics here...

Seems like your a BMW fan, but it reminds me of my old collage buddy.

He scored a 1986 Mercedes 190E-16V for 1300 IIRC. triple black, evo 2 wheels. Had a toasted cluch and the rickies were torn, but excepional none the less. Now its in almost mint condition. $4K plus car for pocketchange.

Not to be rude, but those EVO 1's looked o-so nice.

Mid 80's performance cars are cool, regardless of the make.
Nice work pulled from a bad situation.

Even though it's unpainted and fogs are absent, I forgot how good the valence looked!

Got the side skirts started as well.

    Mocking them up.

Quite a bit of damage, but just have one more sanding session before paint

Talked to the guy today, $500 is as low as he will go with all the extra parts

Think I'm gonna get it though. Runs like champ and the A/C is ice cold.

Well, I am thinking about adding another one to the stable

'88 325is with the m50b25 (2.5l with the better head and ECM than my m50b27), auto. It's in a little rough shape as far as appearance, but is mechanically sound for 210k miles. It was hit in the driver's side tire, so the suspension has been replaced. The guy was fixing it and lost interest when he had the new fender laying loosely in place and the wind took it off - only to be run over by a delivery truck

Tires are 80-90%, crack in the rear bumper, 2 front bumpers included, 2 air dams included, all the grill parts etc are in the trunk, extra front seats that need recovering (driver's seat upholstery is good, but the seat is sad). It sat for about 6mos, put a battery in and it fired right up. Little valve chatter until it got the oil circulating, then sounded like a champ.

Still trying to work out a price, but it looks like $200-300 The head alone is worth that!

Some rust on the sunroof, rust spot on the door, but I'll let the pics do the talking...

I woulda been all over him! Been like, "You drunk son of a b**** a** c*** suckin' a**wiping mother f***in piece of dog s***!" Tell him to pay for emotional and mental damages too! I would. I love when those punk ass kids try to do a burnout in a friggin VAN. Better off doing a burnout in a U-Haul!

    Thanks

Nothing has been done mechanically speaking beside the purchase of an m20b25 top end (casting #xxx885) and will essentially turn my es into a stroker "is", but not before the GM ECM swap . I like the sound of 80+ more HP for a head swap (reminds me of the gen1/gen3 hybrids, w00t).

if i whacked a bmw like that- i wouldnt stop, im sorry, but its a BMW-most people look at that as its probably some rich asshole that's going to nail them to the wall for some cosmetic damage.

if it had been a chevy & he didnt stop id say $$ an a decent ass whooping would be in order. but its a BMW, so that might explain why he was too scared to get back to you.

And just so you know (guessing you didn't read the thread) I DID find him and he did pay most of what I asked for the damages. The car is fixed now, again, read the thread before you post

Got more to do, but a progress pic.

The spoiler is still getting shaved, front air dam was pretty beat up, so it's getting a temp repair-fix until I can get euro bumpers on. Need some side markers, antenna etc, but the new tires are on their way and that will have to be good enough until the wallet is replenished...

Oh yeah, it's got to go back in a few weeks for a final cut on the clear and re-coat when it's in for the air dam paint/install.
