Hey.Things worked out for me today! Got paid in full! And just got back from picking up the monte!Weird driving a two door after all these years! So about the Illinois law thing,my mom was telling me about that,and no.missouri it is not a law,yet.This monte must have a better final drive ratio than my ciera,because it winds out faster?It also turned out to be a one owner car with 93,000 miles,it was my buddy's grandmother's.So I will get back with you guys after I get a warmer day to pick through it and see if it needs anything done to it.It is black w/tan,not grey interior,and funny lookin wheel covers!

On the other hand funny lookin wheel covers rock!

Depending on what state your in, this could easily be considered your fault by the court and you be charged for the kid getting hurt. Here, Illinois, it is illegal to leave your car running unattended for this very reason.

Yeah... that's one more of the reasons IL sucks...

at least if some asshole thinks he deserves my car more than me they have to go through a little more trouble to get it.

I do this too. I made locking the door whenever I step out of the car an almost unstoppable habit. In the future just take the keyless remote with you while warming your car up.

Well at least you have friends that are backing you up/helping you out when you need it. Hopefully this does work out for you before your son is born so it's one less thing to worry about/concentrate on

I am looking at it this way,my buddy will make a exception and sell me the monte for 500-that he is selling for 2,000-to help me out,i give my lawyer the 150 for coming out to my house,he is a friend also,and i got enough for gas and switching the plates and insurance.the monte only has 113 on it and it is black with grey interior.my olds had almost 215 thou on her,so i do not want to chance getting screwed on the value of the car.hey and i will have a 2dr again.i have a little boy being born march 4th,so i want this to just be over with,so i can concentrate on him and my wife.i pray these people come through.

That sounds a bit low for a totaled car. I got like $2400 from the girls insurance company for my 91 when I got rear ended, and it's not like my car was in great shape. Don't undercut yourself, you are at -0- fault here. But at least they are trying to work with you.

Well i think i might have a deal,850 for the car-500for my trouble-kid agrees to stay away from me.they have to produce it by march 6th ,or they will see the full face of the law. this will get me in a 1997 monte 3100.it is a ls plain jane,but who cares.And as far as the trespassing thing ,i live in a apartment complex,so he would of had to enter my apartment (he would havebeen busted up) to press charges for that.So i know ,it aint much,but some times shit just happens.I THINK THIS WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE IF THIS GOES TO COURT,ANY JUDGE WILL SEE THAT THIS KID IS AT FAULT, AND THIER GOOSE IS COOKED!

Also see if you can get the kid for tresspassing. It was at your house. Sorry but if they're gonna try getting you to pay for this kids crime, I'd be hitting them up for every little thing.
